Altså Magazine

Last December I’ve discovered a Norwegian women magazine, called Altså - therefore in English. I was immediately hooked! And the reason is: there’s no advertisement in this magazine, instead they are showcasing female artists in the ‘extra’ pages. ‘Empowering instead of advertising’ as they say.

Not so long ago, the (Norwegian) National Association of Media Companies (MBL) published this year's nominations for the Media Awards. Altså is among the finalists in two categories: Magazine of the Year and Magazine Cover of the Year. This is not a surprising news at all, because this magazine is full of raw and liberating female stories - and not just for women.

I’m a big fan of Altså so I took my chances and submitted my work, and I was lucky enough to be in issue No.08. I’m really grateful for the opportunity.

So here we are, I’m showing off my photos in Altså Magazine:

Beaches are my 'happy places', so I've been working on a photo series about the sea for a while now. These pictures are from an album which is called Sea-Songs, where I want to show people all the beauty and brutality of the sea.

If you are interested in the (almost) full series, here’s the link for you.
